John Trello – Addictions Counsellor
John graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree with a Major in Addiction Counseling from the University of Lethbridge. He has experience working in second stage housing, detox, and within Native Addiction Services. John was inspired to help others in recovery after he struggled for many years with his own alcohol use, and learned the tools he needed to continue his journey to a healthier lifestyle. John has studied Japanese Martial Arts for 25 years, earned his second degree black belt, and taught for 15 years. John brings his passion for martial arts to the ranch as Tai Chi instructor. He was also introduced to the First Nations culture in 2012, and is the recipient of a Blackfoot name. John is a very spiritual person and his counseling style reflects this as he is able to help the person shift into a more mindful way of life.
